Dr. Barzilay received his DDS from the University of Toronto, his Specialty training from the Eastman Institute of Oral Health and his MS from the University of Rochester. He holds fellowship in multiple dental organizations and has served as president of National and International Prosthodontic organizations. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada where he also served in the past as chief examiner in prosthodontics. He has been awarded multiple honours for his research and teaching efforts and spends much time with undergraduate and graduate students. He is the founder and CEO of the Build Your Smile Dental Foundation (a charitable organization) that provides smiles with its dental treatments both at home and abroad to patients who live in under served locales.
